Whether its taking care of street animals or lending a helping hand to birds that get hurt during the kite festival Jaipurites are great nature lovers. So, the wildlife photography exposition at Jawahar Kala Kendra, witnessing a huge footfall was no surprise. Aptly titled Jungle Lore the exhibition showcased the works of Dharmendra Khandal, Surendra Verma, Manoj Kulshreshtar and Subhash Bhargav.
Said Khandal, The endeavour is to display the beauty of Thar Desert and Aravali ranges. Agreed Verma, The aim is to highlight the bounty of nature that Rajasthan possess, so that people can marvel at it.
Apart from offering a visual treat to the nature lovers, the event attempted to create awareness among people about the significance of environment conservation. And there were interactive sessions with biologists on the expert panel and screening of wildlife documentary films to put to rest the queries of audiences.Needles to say, students and environment scholars made the most of the do that not only gave them an opportunity to let their hair down but also up their knowledge quotient. I am having a great time as the interactive sessions and documentary films are extremely interesting, said Rina Dev, an attendee.
